City: Dublin, Ireland Dublin is a university town, rich with culture, entertainment and architectural interest. The socializing element in Ireland is characterized by the “pub culture” - the use of neighborhood pubs as community centers and gathering places, a place to go after work, to meet up with friends, go for a pint, unwind with a newspaper, conduct business, and catch a sports game on the tele. Dublin is the center for Irish politics and one of the fastest growing economies in Europe. Major industries include computer software, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, brewing, textiles/clothing, food products, tourism and banking. Today's Dublin differs markedly from that of just 10 years ago. The economic expansion has brought an influx of immigrants as well as artists, musicians and writers from Ireland and around the world. Dublin is an exciting city to study abroad. See here for more info: www.KEIabroad.org. Featured Programs:
