HOME ABOUT US: ONSITE COORDINATOR: BANGKOK, THAILAND

Each semester KEI staff visit school campuses to attend study abroad fairs and meet with faculty, advisors, students and school clubs. We will be glad to meet with you, your advisor and parents when we are in your area.

The KEI Travel Calendar has a travel schedule for the KEI regional representatives and New York based staff. If you do not see your school listed on the calendar, we will do our best to schedule a visit to your campus.

WELCOME

We very much welcome you to MUIC and to Thailand. Our KEI students have very much enjoyed join on exchange with us, and we have our staff team that will take excellent care of you and also go out with you to the different parts of the country.

The exchange experience here has changed the direction of many students’ lives. I’ve observed many internships where students weren’t sure if they wanted to study medicine, do research or work after graduation. After their exchange experience, they have a much clearer picture of what they want to do. Some have fallen completely in love with Thailand and have decided they want to work in Asia or in other foreign countries. All have become confident world travelers and culturally adept.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA, Colorado State University - Pueblo
  • BSc, Colorado State University - Pueblo

ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

I’ve been a lecturer in Thailand since 1996 and have been full-time at Mahidol University since 1997, carrying a full course load every term as well as working in administration. My focus in my classes right now is using Web 2.0 technology to encourage students to better interact with each other and myself. In my Technology for Tourism class, I’ve moved to problem based learning, where I require students to develop a web site and marketing plan, and to do search engine optimization for a real organization that needs the extra help. This is quite a leap up from using case studies because it is based on real life and well prepares our students to work in business.
